Family Calendar Missing

Hi.

My family and I have created a Microsoft family group. When clicking the 'plan family events' link in the family home page we are all taken to our personal calendars but there is no 'Family Calendar' under the 'Other Calendars' list. Can someone please suggest a cause of this issue and/or a remedy?

The family calendar has never been visible for any of us and we created the family group approx. 48 hours ago.

Thanks.

Ross

In case somebody did not get it, if you try to add a new entry and don't have the option of choosing personal or family Calender, or if you don't see family calendars, you have to choose the circular icon on the top left of the calendar view, this could contain your profile picture, then scroll down and select "your family".

    See Adams picture for referance.

For some reason this was disabled at some point for me, and had to be activated again.

Very bad call from Microsoft.  Further to all this, I'm unable to install or open the Outlook app on my wives iPad due to it being a few years old, so she cant even see the family calendar.

My key takeaways from this Microsoft clusterf#$% is:

    1.  Unable to view Family Calendar on 3rd party apps which many users relied on

    2.  Unable to include Family Calendar on the Daily Agenda email

    3.  Unable to change the colour of the Family Calendar (minor issue...but still annoying)

    4.  Unable to receive notifications if someone add/changes an event in the family calendar

All 4 of these points were functional until a month or two ago.

I have now raised this as an issue on User Voice. It would be helpful if everyone with the problem upvoted the suggestion.

It should be live later today on: https://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/910579-outlook-com-on-the-mobile-web/suggestions/41346613-re-instate-access-to-family-calendar-in-all-client

I used to following workaround, since Microsoft is "ignoring" us and making us go back and forth between different services...

I used the Outlook client (but this can be done throught the webmail too) and made a new calendar, right-click on it and shared it with my family. They all received an email to accept the calendar sharing and everyone is now happy.

Kids are having the calendar in read-only mode (which I chose) and my wife and I are having full access to this specific calendar.

I did have to make a lot of copy / paste between the "old" calendar (that was still available online) and the new shared calendar that I created on the Outlook application (in my Hotmail's account).

    Not elegant, but working...

Where did you open the ticket?  Mine is with the outlook.com support team and is still open and unresolved.

I opened the ticket with the outlook.com team. It did take over a month for the whole process though..

Also, if this is something that needs to be fixed per individual account, that would really make this annoying :-/
