I'm not the first one I think to ask this question, but I cannot find any satisfactory answer - Is their any way to control the space used by the Outlook Android App?
I just removed the account the App was linked to this morning : it was going up to 1.2 G - managing 01 Email account - linked to 01 cloud.
Gmail app - to which 2 Emails account (same one and one other) are linked is using Gmail for a total space of 258 MB - and access to data, including files enclosed to the email, is as fast as with outlook app.
Even if I would like to keep going using Outlook app - it seams just to be impossible to use until the question is solved.
Hope Outlook developer will one day find the way around this question - or at least to allow to switch most of the data on the SD card.

Hi - unless I'm doing something wrong, I'm not finding anything at all in the equivalent folder on my Galaxy S9
Yet in the last five hours outlook has consumed 2Gb of additional storage - but I can't find any evidence of it in the filing system... but I'm not very expert at finding my way around the Android OS.
Sounds pretty much like me then -and good to know we have different non-MS email accounts added - that almost proves is definitely an outlook problem, not anything to do with the provider of the other mail service....
I too have everything on laptop and desktop... but it would be nice to have it on the phone too... like I used to.... :)

I don't think we've compared notes on the accounts we're using. I've two accounts attached to the app - a M$ exchange account for my business, and a SMTP account for personal stuff. If the SMTP account isn't loaded, all is fine. The M$ account alone seems fine. The SMTP account is a btinternet.com email account. Pretty common in the UK. Only been a problem since about the middle of December for me. Been running happily for two years before this.

Thanks for the info. I have two accounts.
a) The default is my Microsoft account with an email ending in ...@live.co.uk. I rarely use this except for e.g. these comments. Whenever I start Outlook 365 on my mobile this is already configured automatically.
b) An account from a 3rd party provider "gmx". This, my main email account, is an IMAP account which I add to Outlook using advanced options to set the port names and numbers.
As mentioned earlier, Office 365 syncs everything between my PC, laptop (a Surface), and my Pixel mobile.
I have had both these accounts since forever. On many generations of Smartphone. This storage problem has only started sometime late last year, if I remember correctly sometime late November or early December.
