I'm getting a few codes minute for the last hour or so.  I've checked to see if someone was accessing my account and there was no evidence of it.  I'm receiving texts from a handful of numbers and i don't want to block them in since i do need to get verification code from time to time, and the number i get the code from varies.

Hi BenjaminDau,

If you're receiving unsolicited verification codes, this means that someone is trying to login your account and unable to pass the verification process. Kindly see the suggestions provided in this article on how to keep your Microsoft account safe and secure.

I have also received two verification code i did not receive in the last week. I tried to change my password as suggested but my verification code wouldn't come through as the phone number on my account can't receive texts. I successfully updated my phone number but now locked out from further changes for a month. I am still concerned about my account being hacked. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

i received this email, but did NOT request a single use code. Please advise.

“We received your request for a single-use code to use with your Microsoft account.

    Your single-use code is: 6579113

If you did not request a confirmation code, please go to https://account.live.com, and verify your account security settings and change your Microsoft account password.

    Thanks,

    The Microsoft account team”
