Indexing problems Outlook - Windows 11

I had same problem after upgrading to Windows 11. Tried to resolve the issue with help of Microsoft Support agents, but in vain. Outlook would keep restarting indexing on its own, and emails that I used to find earlier were nowhere to be found in search.

Found a fix for this today.

Very easy method to resolve the issue. You can fix Outlook search not returning any results by setting a registry key that disables Windows Desktop Search and tells Outlook to use its built-in search. Details given in above link.

I have implemented it, and works wonders.

I have been having the same stupid problem for a month now, also started a topic, discussed with customer services specialized. However mighty Microsoft couldn't offer/find any solution for the problem that is caused by themselves, oh god the irony.

Anyway, in accordance with the suggestion above, I excluded the outlook from the indexing and that solved my problem temporarily. You can try that as well.

The worst customer service experiences for the last thirty years, and they do nothing.

I am ahving exactly the same problem after my Windows 11 update.

Outlook search is not working an indexing starts and then it goes back to the beguinning

Dear All, Why cannot Microsoft resolve this issue in Windows 11? It is pending for such long time ? Really surprising no one is having the solution to this issue . Looks like need to inform CEO of Microsoft so that it gets noticed.

The indexing went for a couple of days and now it has paused again. See screen shot. It does make it very difficult because you cannot search for anything in outlook, calendars or tasks. It was working fine and had done for years before this new update.
