Gmail sent emails getting saved as draft

When I send an an email through my gmail account via the Outlook IOS mobile app, the sent email shows up a draft in gmail on my desktop browser. It doesn't show up as a sent email in thread. How do I make sent emails show up as sent and not as a draft?

I tried deleting and reinstalling Outlook on my iphone X. Interestingly, it worked for the first few minutes and then it started saving as draft again. I'm not sure if there was some minor update in between hard re-installs.

    Same issue on andriod outlook app for a Samsung note 10 - I travel internationally and  jump between airport networks and wireless carriers...so to either not be sure if an email actually sent (concerning for time sensitive items), or to frequently resend multiple copies because I wasn't sure (embarassing) has meant that I've shifted back to the android mail app, which I don't like...

    I am having the same issue. I posted it to the help section in the Outlook app and they quickly responded acknowledging the issue, but without a timeline yet. 

    from support:

    That's an issue that we are currently aware of and our engineering is working on fixing it, at the moment we don't have an exact date for fixing the problem, but we will give our best to fix it as soon as possible so please bear with us for a bit.

    Been having the same issue for a while now. Been looking out for others that are experiencing this. I deleted Outlook for IOS hoping that would solve it and then reinstated a bit later - but alas not. I'm using a company GSuite account too. Haven't tried it with Outlook on Mac OS or any of my private Gmail accounts yet.

    Same issue here.  Gmail sent items are automatically saved as draft.  I am using Microsoft Outlook mobile app version 4.1.31 on my Samsung phone.
