Gmail sent emails getting saved as draft

When I send an an email through my gmail account via the Outlook IOS mobile app, the sent email shows up a draft in gmail on my desktop browser. It doesn't show up as a sent email in thread. How do I make sent emails show up as sent and not as a draft?

I tried deleting and reinstalling Outlook on my iphone X. Interestingly, it worked for the first few minutes and then it started saving as draft again. I'm not sure if there was some minor update in between hard re-installs.

    Same Issue!!!  

    I have hit the send button in the outlook app, only to find that the email is a draft in the gmail inbox.  In other words, my replies often do not go out until I happen to check the gmail website from my Mac and see they're all in draft.  Then I send them from gmail.  

    Would really love to hear back on this.

    It seems that a lot of people have the same issue and this is really frustrating. They should know already that deleting/re-installing the app is not a solution and our patience is running out.

    Please find out what is happening soon or you’re gonna loose even the most loyal and dedicated customers and users as I just can’t cope with the app seeing DRAFTS in my inbox!!!

    Just fix that bug!!!

    1. Now that you mention it, the message does go to the drafts folder of the Outlook. The file IS being sent as others confirm seeing it, but the SENT email is saved in Draft.
    2. I have not, but I can.
    3. I don't remember the exact date, but I'd estimate it at 2-3 weeks ago?
