Outlook app on iPhone is SOOOOO SLOOOOOWWWWWW!!!

My main issue was the lagginess of a search. I would start typing in a search and it would freeze on the first letter and I would continue to put in my search criteria but it would be anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds before the rest of the text showed up. I have four separate emails running through my Outlook app on my iPhone 11 and went into the settings of the biggest account and scrolled down to the bottom, under Sync issues? Try resetting your account and clicked on"Reset Account" This force quit the app and when I reopened the Outlook app, it said "Updating" for a good three or four minutes. After this completed, my problem was solved and it has been over a week now.

It's not 6 months it's years now. It used to be superb. I mostly get long lags before it will catch up with a key press. First openings on the day seem to be worse. Often it will just close and then on restart will show last screen used for a while before it then restarts. Web mail is very fast with none of these problems. No problems on Win PC. I can't believe so many people have similar problems without it being resolved.

The Outlook mobile app is extremely SLOW! Everything about it! Typing an email is SLOW. Scrolling through my inbox is SLOW. Using the calendar is SLOW. Going into the settings menu is SLOW. Searching is SLOW. Even typing a letter or hitting the backspace key is SLOW!

I'm using an iPhone XS running the latest iOS (13.3.1) and latest version of the Outlook app (4.30.0). I’ve tried everything...uninstalling and reinstalling the app, rebooting the phone, hard and soft reset.  I have deleted old emails to clear out my inbox...no help. This is the only app I have problems with out of about 50 apps on my phone. The phone has plenty of CPU and memory available. On my desktop PC, the Outlook with Office 365 account works perfectly fine with no performance issues. Webmail also works fine.

I opened a support case through the mobile app and was told by Microsoft they're aware of the issue and are working on a fix. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS!!! COME ON MICROSOFT, GET IT TOGETHER!!!

Exact same problem! It’s been going on for two months now! Has MICROSOFT been attacked by Russian hackers? Don’t you have the bitcoin to pay like Joe Biden does? Get it together or we’re all going back to Apple apps.

Mine resolved itself. My outlook on my mobile was trying to sync all the calendars I have linked on my laptop which was killing performance. This was resolved behind the scenes, presumably by my work IT.

I am unable to view that Apple discussion link. Do I need an Apple Developer account to see that forum? Where can I +1 a discussion of the poor performance of the iOS Outlook app?
