My google pixel 2 phone recently updated the outlook app. Now the app crashes on startup. I tried clearing the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Ive removed my work account as well. Still will not work. I get as far as the adding account page then it crashes and ask to send a report.

I reported the issue through the app's internal help option and, to Microsoft's credit, they were pretty responsive. Ultimately, I just kept updating to the latest version (weekly releases), and the crashing issue finally went away. Hope that works for y'all.

I had The same issue. Outlook for Android crashed after startup. Outlook was left visible in running applications.

Resetting office 365 account on Outlook for Android removed The issue for now. Had to be fast to get into settings, because there was only few seconds of time befire crashinng. Outlook did not crash while being on settings Page.

My issue also started at the beginning of May with my Moto G6 and persists to this day.  Has anyone found a solution that does not involve removing shared calendars?

When I try to remove the Outlook app from my phone, it doesn't fully uninstall.  Instead, it is replaced by a very old version.  I do not understand why I cannot remove it fully.  When I have the old version, it never crashes, but it perpetually displays a popup telling me to upgrade to the latest version, which renders the application just as useless as when it is crashing.  I have been through this multiple times, but once upgrading, the non-stop crashing comes right back.

Amen!!! I also turned off (removed, not just hidden) my boss' shared calendar and it hasn't crashed (for a couple minutes which is nothing short of a miracle). Thanks for sharing.

I have tried everything suggested in previous posts and anything I could fine (except resetting phone) prior to this (clear cache, clear data, uninstall, reinstall, move all mail out of inbox, 'reset' the sync on the app, clear browser cache, restart phone (many times). There is no issue with memory or storage on my Galaxy S9. Just posting this for reference to Microsoft. There is a bug in the shared calendar access that needs to be fixed ASAP (I need access to my boss' calendar).

    Thanks again!!!
