My google pixel 2 phone recently updated the outlook app. Now the app crashes on startup. I tried clearing the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Ive removed my work account as well. Still will not work. I get as far as the adding account page then it crashes and ask to send a report.

Really ? The app just crashes immediately after being opened and you telling us to open in-app support ?
It doesn't usually give an error message it normally installs ok and let's you add accounts. Problem in my case usually happens after adding accounts without a built in calendar. I.e a short while after a message pops up for a couple of seconds saying updating calendars or calendar data then disappears. After that happens Outlook stops working or just keeps locking and freezing requiring either a reset or reinstall. This was 5he issue I kept having? Hope this helps

I wouldn't waste time on support as it is not an issue with Android it is an issue with Outlook. I use outlook for my calendar email apps and Gmail for everything else.
