I don't know what to do anymore, apart from migrating to google: ONE (and only one so far) of my contacts keep duplicating itself in my people list. No matter how many times I delete it, and where: I tried to delete both online on people.live.com and on the W10 people app. Multiple copies keep reappearing after a few hours.
This has now reached intolerable levels of frustration and I will move everything to google if a reasonable solution is not provided by MS quickly.

Just to update, duplicates have appeared again, as well as contacts back after deletion.
So nothing is solved yet for me.

The single contact came back for me also but it's not duplicated itself which is somewhat of an improvement...

No problem Brian, I understand. In that case, if you'd like - feel free to give them MY e-mail address, and then they can decide whether they want to contact me directly.
Jill, I also noticed it first because my phone started overheating, and then I realized that it was syncing and then auto-linking 12,000+ contacts!
The way I delete them is by using Outlook.com web interface and highlighting multiple contacts at once (click on a contact, scroll down, SHIFT+click on another contact - Delete in the menu on top), or doing a similar operation in Outlook app on my PC.
Unfortunately, it's of no use, since the deleted contacts start coming back almost right away. :-(

First, I can't PM anyone. This system permits only Forum Moderators to send PMs. I'm not a FM. Second, even if I could send you a PM, I couldn't give you information about my contact, by an agreement I have with them. Sorry.
