Calendar event showing up the wrong timezone

Hi there, I refer to the screenshots below. The user, Pamela, sends out a calendar invite to both Jeff and Kok Guan, specifying the correct timezone UTC +0800. However, what Jeff views this event on his Mac running on Yosemite 10.10.2 is the UTC +0000 timezone, Monrovia, Reykjavik. The time indicated is displayed 6am instead of the actual 2pm, despite showing a notification that the event will commence at 2pm on Jeff's Mac. How do i go about correcting/removing the UTC +0000, Monrovia, Reykjavik, timezone stamp. Appreciate some help with this. Thanks!

Regards

Kenny

Unfortunately, the server update won't fix existing meetings automatically.  However, users MAY be able to fix it themselves if they find the original meeting invitation (could be in Deleted Items) and re-accept the meeting(s) with the "UTC" time zones.  (Let us know if that works.)

If that doesn't work, they will have to ask the organizer to re-send the invitation.  (Organizer just has to open the meeting on his/her calendar and click "Send Update." Make sure to "Edit Series" if it is a recurring meeting.)

    Patrick,

Can you confirm that all users involved are on O365/Exchange Online server (and not on-prem)? Were there any other devices or OSes involved in the invite/forward/accept flow? The reset of time zone to UTC +0000 in the past was due to mobile devices (using EAS) not sending any time zone information to the server.  The bug manifested itself in EWS (which Mac Outlook uses, but not OWA).  That bug was fixed in O365 and Exchange 2013 or later.  If all your users are on Exchange Online then we would need to get more details to investigate.

I'm still getting this problem as well. Its intermittent with some of our users and only has to do with forwarded events. If the event is forwarded and our users try to accept it, it shows up with the UTC +0000 timezone, Monrovia, Reykjavik time zone versus our Central and or Eastern US time zones.

When we look at the calendar event using office 365 via the web browser it accepts the event correctly but when we look at the invite using the mac outlook V15.37 it shows that bad time zone and incorrectly books the meeting at the incorrect hour and it has to be manually adjusted.

Don't have any available updates and we're on an office 365 plan. Any ideas how to resolve this issue with the Mac outlook client?

This is present in Outlook.com as well as of recent. The sender re-sent it. I just manually added the meeting time.

Are you using on-prem Exchange?  If so, the "suggested fix" is to update to Exchange 2013 or later.  Exchange 2010 does not have the fix.  If you are using O365 (Exchange Online) or already on Exchange 2013, then we'll need to investigate further.
