Outlook Mobile for Android Sync Settings?

There is another aspect to the lack "sync settings".

I've just switched to Android after getting totally and utterly hacked off with garbage Windows 10 on Windows phone. Windows Phone 8.1 was miles better, more stable, and quicker. Apart from the abysmal lack of apps, Windows 10 was the straw the broke the proverbial camel's back for me with Windows phones.

Anyway, for me the lack of sync settings is different. I have 6 mail accounts that I have on my Android phone - I had the same on the Windows phone - 5 of which are currently set up in Outlook Android (the other is a GMail account so no point). One of these (one of three Outlook.com accounts) is used to receive motion alarm notifications from my remote 5 camera remote CCTV system. On WiFi they come through almost instantly, as you would expect. On mobile data, can be 30 mins PLUS!!!

The fix for this with Outlook Mobile on Windows phones was to set the sync settings to "As new mail arrives". On Android - TOTALLY STUFFED!!!

This is a very concerning trend that shows no signs of improving with Microsoft - really, really, REALLY crap buggy software with not the slightest hint of ANY intention to fix the anything. Instead they like to push out stupid new features, like "focused inbox" to ALL version of Outlook (Outlook.com, Outlook Mobile/Android and even desktop) and turn them on by default (I wouldn't want to describe what I'd like to do to the idiot in Microsoft who thought THAT was a good idea).

Also, has anyone tried the support for Outlook.com services (slightly off topic but related)?

Even the Outlook.com Premium (i.e. PAID FOR, which I have one of in addition to personal AND company O365 Business Premium subscriptions) is slow, glacial slow, and staffed by monkeys who are utterly clueless. They have an issue on the Premimum Subscription site where the SSL certificate for p.pfx.ms has been revoked constantly throwing up warnings and blocked notifications from pretty much all anti-virus software . The idiot at "so called" support said getting this fixed "was a complex process as it involved updating server patches" WRONG "and getting it verified and authorised through various antivirus platforms 'firewalls'" WRONG!

As I manage my company's SSL certificates, I know the process and thus what complete and utter garbage this idiot was spouting. And this was supposed to be 2nd or 3rd level support!

I have the same issue and just did the following so I don't' know if it helps but go to setting>apps>Outlook>Battery Usage>Background Activity.

There is an on-off switch, switch it to off and supposedly it won't background sync.

Yes, there might be some workarounds for this issue, but don't you think that Microsoft should add such a simple feature to their application? I mean, this is a very Basic option that can be found on pretty much all of the available mail apps. I just reported the Microsoft representative answer as inappropriate, since I find it very inappropriate to just tell us that this option does not exist and then disappear completely. I would like to get some kind of an explanation for this ridiculous issue.

What do you mean "the sync interval cannot be set for the Outlook application on android phone."? Does this mean that you are not going to bring the sync interval option to android version or what? I find this comment very weird as we know for sure that there is no os level restriction for sync interval. I got to say that a Company as big as Microsoft should be able to bring in such feature.
