DOWNLOADED ATTACHMENTS IN OUTLOOK ANDROID APP

I downloaded the latest version of Outlook app from play store on my android

I was able to download the attachments from my mail and I cold open it from the outlook app 

But i am not able to find the files that I have downloaded in my sdcard or in mu internal memory

please anyone, help me.......

I appreciate the response. I am really sorry the above suggestion's were not helpful in solving the problem.  I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the phone to check where the downloads are saved exactly.

I am experiencing he same issue, I have discovered that the files (in my case, a PDF file) is being saved to

\data\data\com.Microsoft.Outlook[remainder truncated], but it seems that folder is hidden or something, so I can't see the folder directly on the phone until I get around to investigating via my PC. I hope this kinda helps

The download process of Outlook for Android is not really downloading the file completely. As you can noticed that it's under the .tmp folder which stands for Temporary folder. This is to avoid eating up storage for your phone.

I have tried to replicate your issue and I found a workaround.

  1. Download the attachment from your email and open the file.
  2. Click the hamburger logo and select Save as. Then save it on your desired location on your SD Card.

That way it's not being deleted since it's not stored on the temporary folder.

    I have this same issue and its ridiculous to try to figure out why this is the issue and they are forcing us to upgrade from the OLD app which worked FINE. If anyone finds a solution that would be awesome! So far NADA!

    I agree with Kevi_Kev.  The files are not to be found anywhere in the normal folder structure of my phone or tablet, so it is NOT a hardware manufacturer's issue.  The previous Outlook.com app saved files to a folder called 'Attachments'.  That seems to no longer apply.  When I click view images on the File menu option, it "downloads" and a pop up of the file appears, with no other options.  Only after hitting the GoBack/Return key does the image disappear.  If I click the image icon again, the file just instantly appears without downloading, so it must be saved in some hidden location.  To get a copy, I have to screenshot it (a pain), so I often just send any messages containing images to my MMS app or, like others, use GMail.  I do like the focused Inbox and conversation thread, but the attachment issue is problematic.  You say you're discontinuing the use of the Outlook.com app guys, so please fix this!

    Hi Ruth, 

    None of my folders contain the attachment. This is definitely a big issue since I will be downloading a lot of attachments and sending them through text. I downloaded the file twice and did a search by entering the file name on my phone, and I got nothing. I manually searched each folder and got nothing. As I played with it more, I noticed that the files are being downloaded only to the OUTLOOK app and it's only visible through the app. The only downside of this is that the OUTLOOK app doesn't allow us to send the files to our phones, it just lets us open it through the app...and doesn't even have a zoom in/out feature. (the emails have the zoom in/out feature though). I don't mean to be rude, but with all honesty, the user experience on this app(overall) is horrible. Has this been tested by actual users before the launch? Because there is no way it can possibly be this bad. (note: I'm not angry, just curious and giving honest feedback.) I would also love it if I can just download my attachments in the email and not on a whole different section. 

    Hope you guys figure this out soon. I think the user experience is always number one on my list, without it you guys will have frustrated users 24/7. I love outlook, so I'll be looking forward to the improvements!! :)
