Outlook Calendar Notifications all Show in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone

My wife shared her outlook.com calendar with me.  We both have our time zones set to Eastern Time on outlook.com.  However, whenever I get a notification that she added something to her calendar it shows in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone just in the notification.

For instance it says...

When: Wednesday, March 29, 2017 12:30 AM-1:00 AM. (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik

... when she makes an appointment at 8:30pm Eastern Time on 3/28.  Both the time shows correctly on both of our calendars.  Only the notification is wrong.  How do I fix that?

    We are having this issue as well. Regional settings are correct in the outlook.com web app for both the calendar creator's account and the account that reads the shared calendar.

    One thing I also noticed that in the Outlook desktop application, the shared calendar appears with the events themselves set to (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik time zone.

    My husband and I share calendars both with oultook.com address and have been getting our email confirmation with Monrovia, Reykjavik time as well and we have check all of our time zone settings for PST. I just started to research this today and didn't realize how big of a problem it is. I sure hope Microsoft can get it fixed.

    I'm experiencing the same issue even after verifying (and resetting) time zone settings on both the source and destination Outlook.com address.

    It's quite irritating.

    Hi Darian,

    Thank you for your reassurance. I have spent a lot time trying to fix the issue on my end (before concluding that the problem must be on MS side) so please free to request any information you think necessary.

    (The sharing calendars had been pretty stable for a number of years until we got that dreaded message on the 4th of October 2016 "Limited shared calendar access during Outlook.com upgrade". Since then every month brings a new issue. The problems with sharing in write mode, retirement of the decent Android outlook.com app,  removal of timezone selection from events in webmail interface, now the confusing notifications...to just list a few examples.)
