I too have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and experience the same loop on the GET STARTED log in screen for Outlook. I've been using the Outlook app on my phone for more than a year without issue, yet each time I change the password I unistall and reinstall... only
this time to get stuck with this bug of sadness.
Here's what I've tried thus far:
APP MANANGER > select OUTLOOK > force stop, then select STORAGE to clear cache.
Open OUTLOOK > select GET STARTED > enter email > auto-redirect to GET STARTED with a brief "an error occurred" bubble that appears below GET STARTED (repeating the GET STARTED only provides the same loop of disappointment).
APP MANANGER > select OUTLOOK > force stop, then select STORAGE to clear cache > close everything > reboot.
Open OUTLOOK > select GET STARTED > enter email > auto-redirect to GET STARTED with a brief "an error occurred" bubble that appears below GET STARTED (repeating the GET STARTED only provides the same loop of disappointment).
Unistall OUTLOOK > reboot > reinstall OUTLOOK > reboot.
Open OUTLOOK > select GET STARTED > enter email > auto-redirect to GET STARTED with a brief "an error occurred" bubble that appears below GET STARTED (repeating the GET STARTED only provides the same loop of disappointment).
Factory reset the phone (no kidding - seriously inconvenient to not have OUTLOOK on my phone, so that was a whole weekend wasted).
Open OUTLOOK > select GET STARTED > enter email > auto-redirect to GET STARTED with a brief "an error occurred" bubble that appears below GET STARTED (repeating the GET STARTED only provides the same loop of disappointment).
This is a much larger reaching problem that started at some point after 5/15/2017.
My email ends in @Sephora.com email (I agree with the original person who posted, that adding your email to a public forum is an unreasonable request).
Side note, anyone at Sephora who has an Android phone who has recently unistalled then reinstalled their OUTLOOK app (my last reinstall before this on or within a few day or so of 5/15/2017, which had no login issues) is having this identical issue regardless
of the type of Android phone they are using or which Android stack they are running, so I am 100% certain this is a problem with something that changed with the app itself at some point after 5/15/2017.
Please for the love of God, please please please somebody working on the OUTLOOK app, please fix this.
Thank you.
