Configuring preferences and options in Outlook.com
I can't believe this has been ongoing for over a year now and I still keep getting notifications about someone replying here..
I think the link came from me, let me repost it once more:
So for those who are still complaining, this is a EASY-TO-USE workaround so that you'll always be redirected to the login page once signing out. Here's some tutorials on how to bookmark this link for browsers.. hopefully this will close this thread.
Internet Explorer
1. Open the Run window, by Right Clicking on the Start button, and selecting "Run" (Windows 8 & above), or holding down Windows Key+R.
2. Type: %userprofile%\Favorites
3. Right click on any empty space, select "New" > "Shortcut"
4. Copy the logout URL on the textbox, and click Next.
5. Give any name to your bookmark, I name it "Outlook Mail".
6. Done - Check the IE bookmarks area and simply click on it to instantly logout then get to the login screen.
Firefox:
1. On the login link that I provided, simply Right Click on it and select "Bookmark this Link".
2. Rename the link to anything you want, then change the bookmark folder to an easily accessible area, like the Bookmarks Toolbar
3. Done - the bookmark should be set.
Chrome :
1. Hold the CTRL+SHIFT+ O keys to open the Bookmarks Manager. Alternatively, you can just type in the address bar : chrome://bookmarks.
2. Right click on any of the white space, and select "Add Page...".
3. Type in any name you prefer, and copy the URL on the next textbox.
4. Done - should be bookmarked. If you want to see it immediately, hold down CTRL+SHIFT+B to make the Bookmarks Toolbar visible.
No need for any add-ons for your browsers. Just bookmark the link, and be on your way to logging in multiple email accounts. **This is a workaround, not a fix. It's highly unlikely Microsoft will do something about this.**So simply use the bookmark and be on your way.
