Outlook.com Calendar cannot be added to iCal

Hello,

I have a Macbook and want to use my Outlook.com account on iCal.   I would like to use this as my primary calendar to add all events and invite attendees so that it is in the Outlook.com cloud.   I cannot seem to add it using the Mac preferences.  Please help.

Hey!

Choose Exchange and when it asks Username its your email address. Then it asks Internal Server and External Server so those are both outlook.office365.com. Worked for me.

    Thanks. That's interesting. However, as far as I can tell subscribing to an ICS file allows you to view the calendar, but not change it. Am I correct in assuming that the only supported ways to change a calendar on Outlook.com are through the web interface and EAS/Exchange?

    Yeah, this doesn't work either. I tried it MULTIPLE times last night with every possible permutation of the process to view (only) an outlook.com calendar in iCal.  Nothing worked.

    Oddly, I can add outlook.com calendar viewing to my iPhone in iOS7.  I have pointed this out in the Apple community as well and hope for a more formal patch from Apple as well.  This, by far, does NOT excuse the Outlook folks from their narrow minded coding of the online outlook platform.

    I hope it gets better, because for now it is still just my dedicated spam e-mail collector.
