Exchange ActiveSync won't sync contacts on Android

Hi,

I've been having a problem with Exchange ActiveSync on my Android phone. Calendar and E-mails sync fine without any problems. However, my contacts won't sync properly. My contacts sync the first time I set up my account on my phone using Exchange ActiveSync but afterwards if I make any changes or add new contacts on my phone then it won't sync to Outlook.com. The same situation arises if I modify or create a new contact on the web at Outlook.com; I don't see these changes being synced to my phone. 2-way syncing is not working for my contacts.

I have removed and re-added my Outlook account on my phone multiple times but the problem persists. I am using a Nexus 4, running the latest version of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1

Can you please fix this?? It is extremely annoying and inconvenient. I don't want to use the Hotmail or Outlook apps since they are very limited in functionality and a big battery drain on the phone.

Thanks.

Ok, I have posted my account address in private reply.

ad #2: Do you format your PC every time Outlook gets corrupted? Pls, don't advise such thing. Resetting my phone would have to be really only the last possible resort.

I've done clearing cache and removing my account from phone several times, but it just stops syncing at one point. And I normally do not notice it soon enough, so I already made some changes to contacts, which are not sync then and after removing account I lose all those changes. I really hate this.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello, Julius,

Yes, my contacts aren’t syncing at the moment, since I am still waiting for a more long-lasting fix than just removing and reading the account, which works just for a few days.

I normally add it through settings / add EAS account and the only special setting is to use server: dub-m.hotmail.com (this address was supposed to work as best solution). Afterwards I notice, this server is automatically changed to: dub407-m.hotmail.com (which is my current setting). Of course there is SSL (443) enabled. E-mail and calendar sync is working perfectly. One more thing, my e-mail is from the days of “custom domains live mail” system.

And it doesn’t matter whether I use my phone’s contact linking with Skype, Facebook (Xperia with FB services) or not.

    Thank you for your help!
