MSN email account doesn't exist??

I used to have an MSN email account, now it's saying it doesn't exist! What happened to it?

    If it has been a year or more the account was marked inactive and the data deleted.  Have you tried creating a new account with the same email address?

    When you signed up for the account you agreed to the terms of use (you did read it right?) which says it is you that is responsible for your dat and not MS

    Accounts become inactive if you don't sign in for more than 365 days VIA WEB BROWSER or within the first 10 days after signing up VIA WEB BROWSER for an account despite what anyone says.  Recent changes are being introduced gradually to change the one year (365 days) to two years (730 days).

    After an account becomes inactive, all messages, folders, and contacts are deleted. Incoming messages will be sent back to the sender as undeliverable.Your account name is still reserved.  During this time you wont be able to re-use the same email name.

    However, if the account stays inactive for an additional 90 days, the account name may be permanently deleted.

    If you don't use your Windows Live ID for 365 days, your Windows Live ID will be permanently deleted.  Once the account is marked as in-active all data is purged so even if you could get the email account back the data would be gone....

    I'm facing the same issue but i haven't accessed these accounts in a very long time

    also msn has no record of my email account.  verizion with msn dropped the msn email account some time ago and my email address went with it.  I used it up to yesterday and now it is gone along with all my contacts and emails. I hate Microsoft and all the changes that keep being made

    I am having the same problem with my account. Although, I'm pretty positive that the latest time I was on it would be June or July. However I believe I was on it around august/September. The email was ******@hotmail.com I used that email to set up an account on other things and need to reset the passwords. Is there a way to re activate the email account?
