The ads are how Microsoft makes the money to keep Outlook free.
You can upgrade to Outlook Plus (paid) to be rid of them permanently.
If you have PLUS and ads please contact the Billing Department.
If you are using Firefox you can use either popup blocker or No-script but neither will reclaim the space the ads take up.
Is there a downside to using this add-on?
I have been using the Webmail Ad Blocker for more than a year with no downside.
.. if money is the issue .. yeah right ?!.. why was outlook express free ?? bring it back if using outlook.com is costing you money MS.. ;(

Thank you for bringing this issue to us.
I understand that you want to remove the ads from your Outlook.com interface, and you were able to remove the ads from your Hotmail interface.
Please be informed that even if you can remove the ads from your Hotmail interface, it will still show the advertisements after you log in again to your Hotmail account. In this case, Outlook.com is designed as it is, and we can't do an adjustment on our end to remove the ads, unless you are an Ad-free Outlook.com subscriber.

I have now been forced to look at a McDonald's ad for McGrill burger for nearly 2 months!
It's just plain rude. Has been since the beginning of the Internet.
As I said, this thread isn't for printing out e-mail, it's for finding a way to remove the ads on the screen. Maybe if you posted it in a more appropriate place, you'd find an answer. I never print out my e-mail, so I'd have no idea how to do it.
