Can the AdChoices bar be removed from Outlook.com?

Is there a way to disable the AdChoices bar in outlook.com? It's annoying.

Hi all. I've google'd "webmail ad blocker for firefox" and a few links came up. How do I know which are legitimate downloads? Thanks.

Hi guys,

In order to hide that grey bar, follow the steps below:

Go to "More mail settings"

In the "Reading email" section, click "Content from third-party networks"

In the "Showing public content" section, click "Don't show public content from third-party networks"

Click "Save"

And that's all!

Nope...just tried that and the ads/grey bar is still there :(

I want to turn off the AdChoices Bar and the person on customer service chat uinstructed me to use this tool to get help. I have turned off all permission and yet I still have the ad bar - please advise how to remove...

If you would bother to read this entire thread (or at least page 4 of the thread) you would see there is already a proven (and free) solution to this problem......
