Teams hogging memory, running slowly

Hi

Teams is almost killing my laptop. Here's an example:

Is there anything  can do to reduce Teams' memory usage?

Or do I just need to buy more memory?

    It is impossible to work with teams with this memory issue, no idea what it is trying to mull on keeping so much in mem.

    Completely agree....

    Even after the Windows Support team replaced my surface device, I'm still looking at these issues.   

    I wish that @Microsoft was actually reading this thread.

    During the pandemic, so many of us are working from home.   Given us a need to meet with video and share screens.

    IN this situation please also check the GPU column as in my experience this is what brings down the device into bad responsiveness. As soon as I close Teams, everything comes back.

    I still haven't been able to prove that turning off GPU hardware acceleration will make it better (as I would expect the opposite), this is also something to look into.

     this now becoming a show stopper, my laptop goes into deep depression due to this ms teams memory consuption.

    please have this looked into.
