Hi

Teams is almost killing my laptop. Here's an example:

Is there anything  can do to reduce Teams' memory usage?

Or do I just need to buy more memory?

Thanks!

"Many features of current programs have been designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback."

Please don't. I'm no IT expert but even i can see that its common sense that the more fancy features you add, the worse this problem will get. Why don't you tweak and polish the features you all ready have, rather than adding more novelty features that no one will ever use?

That's not the Msft way unfortunately. They've fallen so far behind in terms of online capabilities that they grasp at any straw their developers suggest and dump it out there with no regard for the user experience. They can't help themselves.

Below is what I did and it woks for a some extend.. but as users why we need to tune up our PCs to run a heavy app? Microsoft need to come up with a solution for this.. like another app " MS Teams Lite "

The issue I can see in Ms Teams is, even we need it only for communication purpose, Microsoft stuffed all the fancy things such as Calendar, one note, planner, and all apps inside teams and made it like a Hub for Microsoft apps. just like the online portal.. but what actually the users need is a communication tool just like Skype for business. ( I really miss that awesome app ). We just need a tool to talk, chat, share screen, host meetings... if we need any other app, we will navigate to portal or PC apps and get the things done.. please keep Teams simple..  No wonder that Teams idea came from a Woman :)

Since i downloaded teams it takes around 5-6 mins on boot up to even get control of my PC.... and the first thing i do is Cltl, Alt, Del close MS teams...

    Tips:

When I'm in a meeting if I do "Turn off incoming video" from More actions in Task Manager - Teams "Power usage" is decreased even if nobody using webcam.

If I mute my self from the interface even if my headset is mutes again "Power usage" is decreased.
