Microsoft Teams - Download a folder as a zip file

Hello everybody,

I received a question from an end user about downloading a folder from within Microsoft Teams.

When clicking "Download" on a folder, the user wants the ZIP file to retain its original folder name.

As per my knowledge, when downloading a folder the system automatically generates a ZIP file and prompts me to save the file with file name "OneDrive_2021-10-15".

I was surprised to see another user experiencing different behavior. For this second user, Teams actually prompted to save the folder as its original name i.e. Quotes.zip.

I was trying to find an answer, but could not find any explanation.

Does someone know a little bit more about this behavior?

Many thanks.

Hmm weird, that would mean that the folder in my example, U4, was created by the system somehow. I have no idea how this would have happened.

I tried creating a new folder in both teams. Both download as OneDrive_etc.

The recording folder also downloads as Recording.zip in my case.

We'll have to deal with it then.
