Font Issues with office 365 Outlook/Word 16.9 (for Mac)

Gill Sans is not working correctly. Gill Sans Light appears as a serif font and Gill Sans Regular appears as Gill Sans Light?

Hi as0773,

It appears that this case is not one that was covered by the hotfix today. The best course of action to ensure that this is captured is to use the in-app feedback to submit a report (using the smiley face icon).

    Same issue as reported by others.

    All 3rd party fonts are no longer listed in the selection field, and any copy using these fonts on existing documents defaults to Calibri. My set of fonts are all known good (worked great prior to 16.9 and continue to work in all other apps: Adobe, iWork, etc.) and are fully licensed from notable foundries. 

    Thanks to those with the uninstall steps and rollback version link. These worked great, and I'm holding off on rolling forward to 16.9 and beyond until this is confirmed to be resolved.

    Hi Peter,

    We have a few questions for you.

    1. Can you clarify the exact procedure you followed? Did you at any point install the fonts you copied over from Yosemite, or did you just place them in the folder indicated?
    2. Which app or apps specifically are you experiencing the Helvetica Neue issues in?
    3. What is the version number of the HelveticaNeue fonts you are currently using?
    4. Can you provide a screenshot of the "random characters" you are seeing with Bold?
    5. What is the locale of the machines you are seeing this issue with? Is the build of Office you are using localized for that locale?

    Same thing here with Helvetica Neue on High Sierra..

    I copied the following font files from Yosemite and placed them in the /Library/Fonts folder:

    HelveticaNeue.dfont

    HelveticaNeueDeskInterface.ttc

    then cleared font cache in Terminal:

    sudo atsutil databases -remove

    Now Helvetica Neue Regular works again, but Helvetica Neue Bold is still showing random characters..

    This issue was reproduced on every single one of my clients' computers!!!

    I cannot believe how bad this is..
