MacOS "Another account from your organisation is already signed in on this device"

I have an Office 365 subscription through my work, after recently updating Office, every time I now open Word, Excel or PowerPoint, I am prompted to sign in and activate the product. When I try to, I get this error “Another account from your organisation is already signed in on this device".

I have tried multiple suggestions as follow :

My Office apps are all up to date and I am running macOS Monterey Version 12.6.

Excel for Mac version is 16.68.

Thank you for your support.

[Moved from Subscription, account, billing/For Business/Accounts, groups management, and sign in]

EDIT : upgrading to macOS Ventura (13.0.1) didn't solve the issue

6 pages in and Microsoft has yet to take this seriously.

I've tried all the tools and CLI strings and nothing changes. I just stumbled across another trick (that didn't work) which goes like this:

How do I reset the OneDrive app?

    1. Quit OneDrive. (Select the cloud icon in the top tray, then select Settings > Quit OneDrive.)
    2. Find OneDrive in your Applications folder.
    3. Right-click OneDrive and select Show Package Contents.
    4. Browse to the Contents > Resources folder.
    5. Double-click ResetOneDriveApp.command (or ResetOneDriveAppStandalone.command, if you're using the standalone app).
    6. Start OneDrive and finish the setup process.

I tried this after finding that restarting the OneDrive app brought me to a login page that listed a dozen of the tenants I've worked in over the years. Yes, I'm an IT consultant and I participate in many different tenants. Half of the tenants in the list I don't even have access to any longer. I have no idea what config file has a death grip on these potential logins. I've deleted the com.microsoft.OneDrive folders from the Library and run through the reset option above, and yet, OneDrive still has this list of potential logins embedded somewhere.

Among the list of logins is my (unlicensed) admin account for my primary tenant. I suspect the Office suite is seeing this list of logins in a config file and assumes I'm logged into (probably with a "stay logged in" option that I mistakenly accepted) my admin account and won't allow me to login with my regular user for the same tenant.

HOW CAN I LOG OUT OF A USER I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I LOGGED INTO???

Where is this login embedded in a config file, db file, or setting? Every bit of guidance in this thread appears to be partial. I'm glad some suggestions work for some, but no one has answered the bottom line question.

How do we remove any and all Microsoft logins from a MacOS 13 system??? Where is this login list I'm seeing in OneDrive being stored? It's a simple question. Where is it saving this list?

    I got it finally.
I had the same issue on the Iphone.

I went to settings and searched for my office app, for example for word.

--> Then went to "reset word"

--> then i switched on "delete sign in credentials"
When i openend word again i finally could log in into the organization
