Has anyone seen this before. Any advise on how to move back to default position?

    Hi Ed,

Sorry but saying that "it works for me" doesn't help here. The entire community seems to be pissed with the new location of the search and, to be honest, it's indeed a bad design decision to put it on top of everything and make the suggested results show ON TOP of the most used tools in the toolbar. I mean ... was this even tested??

Is it useless? No, it still do the search as it is expected to do, but it's sure annoying as hell to use because:

    a) Location

    b) comes on top of the "Refine" buttons - forcing users to use two clicks instead of one to select/apply the filter they want

    c) there's no way to revert it to the old location or move it somewhere else ... which doesn't make any sense.

    Dumb location!!!!!!

    Agree.

If Microsoft think, they need to change element locations in the UI, they should make it optional resp. changeable, at least.

Sadly, the search bar isn't the only thing that's moved to the title bar in Office.

I can't even drag & drop my Excel windows any more because the title bar is filled with junk.

    I hate it.

Give us an option to spare ourselves from that ****, for christs sake.

    KR

This new search bar is garbage.   It's not even working - just keeps saying we're having trouble fetching results from the server.  My search term has results in the first two messages of my inbox so I know they are there.

Very frustrating.  Microsoft please go back to the other search location and function.  It wasn't broken what were you trying to fix?
