Microsoft Outlook for Mac - IMAP account not behaving

I'm using Outlook for Mac - business - new version

I have 365 business account and 6 imap accounts and 2 Apple Me accounts.

2 of the IMAP accounts are not synching properly for sent and draft email FROM Outlook. It's almost like they're only syncing local sent mail and draft email without sending to the server. If I send or set up a draft in Mac Mail, they sync fine to outlook, but if I do the same in outlook - I don't see them in Mac Mail.

I have the same set up on a MacBook and works fine

This was not an issue until I had to wipe my Mac a set up from new - previously it was fine.

So it seems like it's isolated to my Mac and Outlook, but I don't know hat to look for or where to go to fix it.

I've removed the accounts and added them back in, but the same.

I should add received mail in Junk etc is all fine. If I file email in Outlook in a folder, it syncs ok.

It's just email CREATED in Outlook that isn't synching! How weird, but that may be what someone needs to answer this one for me!

HELP!

    Hello Ron Edwards,

Good day to you and hope you are doing well.

Regarding your post, may I know are you using New Outlook for Mac or Old/classic/legacy Outlook for Mac? You can try to check this issue with switch your current Outlook version with another one (New version to Legacy version and vice versa) and then check if you found any difference. You can change your outlook version by turn on/off New Outlook button (available in the right side of the screen) and if these button not visible go to Help menu and select Revert to Legacy Outlook.

As the same accounts work correctly earlier, so also check with Outlook Reset Preferences tool by follow the steps mention in this article.

For further check this issue, request you to kindly provide us your Outlook for Mac version details with build information, so based on it we will check and assist you further. AT this point, your kind understanding and co-operation will be highly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your precious time. Stay safe, happy and healthy forever.

    Regards,

    Ankita Vaidya

    Hi Ron,

Sorry about Ankita not paying attention to the forum category. You're in the right place!!

Just to clarify, only 2 of the 6 IMAP accounts are misbehaving, and only one of two Macs running the beta channel build is affected. Do I have that right?

And just to be sure, are both Macs using regular Outlook or "New" Outlook?

    Hi Ankita

This forum is EXCLUSIVELY for Insider beta build users. Ron is in the correct forum. You apparently did not notice you are in the INSIDER forum.

Hi Ankita, thanks for your reply!

I've deleted Outlook and re-downloaded Outlook to make sure it's the latest correct version without issues

I am using Version 16.60 (22030300). I reverted back to old and checked there. I found that the sent and draft folders weren't quite set correct - they were /sent, not inbox/sent as I think they should be. I changed that and then checked and the email 100% syncs, no issues.

I then switched to New Outlook

New Outlook - I've set up one imap account as new. It does exactly the same - it doesn't sync sent and drafts for newly created mail in New Outlook. I don't believe in new outlook I can change the folders it uses anywhere though? I assume this is the problem for some reason? I'm not 100% sure.

    What should I do now?
