We are trying to upload 1920 x 1080 custom backgrounds and we are getting an error message saying invalid size. Testing other sizes, anything square 1:1 works but gets cropped in the viewer. We also tried 1280 x 800, but same gets cropped. There isn't mention of this update in any of the update logs. What is the correct size, is there a template to follow to know what gets cropped?

Thank you - good to know there is a workaround. But I firmly believe that Microsoft should resolve this issue since they created it in the first place. I will not be resizing my backgrounds to compensate for their issue. Imagine if I worked at a large corporation and I was responsible for re-sizing 1000's of backgrounds!
for the Mac side, it was corrected on version 25072.1704.3539.4369 which is still rolling out. Your Mac may not see this version yet, but it should see it sometime this week.
what is your current version installed? It should be fixed as of:
Mac: 25072.1704.3539.4369
PC: 25072.1609.3541.7814
