The solution I found that has worked on multiple Dell laptops is to install Teams BEFORE setting up Outlook or OneDrive. On a couple of laptops that would not install Teams and gave the error above, I ran Office Scrub to remove Office, Installed Teams and then reinstalled Office.
This worked for me on a new Dell Laptop
Wow over a month later and this is still broken! The usual M$ Limbo Dance of Customer Service. Is Teams not one of your flagship applications?? How come its been over a month and you haven't fixed a certificate issue that's hitting your paying customers?????
The solution that worked for me was to Update the Microsoft App Installer through the Microsoft Store. It needed an update. After that, Teams For Business installed fine.
This worked for me too, seems that when installing a new machine the App store apps don't get updated automatically for a while. So the app updater was out of date, when I updated it teams installed no problem.
