Why is my "Notify when available" missing when I click on a user in Teams?

This is what is missing from a user we support.

Hello WilliamHicks6,

The Notify when available feature is not available in the new Teams. Currently, you will need to select a user’s avatar or profile photo anywhere in new Teams to quickly get an overview of their online status, next available calendar slot in Outlook, work hours, local time, or work location either remote or in office.

See What is changing in the new Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

Thanks,

Hi Mārtiņš, you make some interesting points but I don't agree. Invading privacy? Hardly. If you think this feature is useless then you could ignore the thread. Please respect that some people's communication needs are different from yours. 'Notify when available' was really useful, for example when you urgently need to speak to someone and perhaps they are bombarded by meetings and calls, or you only have a brief time window when you can call.

Microsoft please can you add this feature back to New Teams.

If you don't want to be disturbed, you may set your status to 'Don't disturbe' to make that visible.
If you want to keep privacy, you may set your status manually, e.g. to 'Offline'.
-> the issues you mention are independent from availability of the 'Notify when available' feature

Why has this feature not been brought back yet?

Absolutely stupid decision to remove this.

This was a very nice feature that you removed. Now I have to send a message that interrupts the person. Dumb move by MS.
