Double beep when muted on Teams Shokz Headset

Hello

I see a lot of threads and people moaning about Double beep when muted on Teams when using a Shokz headset which is the problem I have. (Headset previously called AfterShokz)

I use a work computer so do not have admin rights, and muting shoks headset by pressing the +/- volume keys does not stop the beeping noise.

Any help would be appreciated.

    I had no issues for using Teams like over a year. Then I had to join to a Zoom (Zoom App) meeting and Teams started to auto-mute me every time I joined the call. I reseted the Aeropex and it worked again, no auto-mute when joining. Then I had another call using Google's system and same thing happened again with Teams. This time auto-mute was permanent, reset did not help. I warrantied Aeropex and now using OpenRun without problems...so far.

    This doesn't just affect Teams, it also affects Skype.

    Other products like GoToMeeting or Google Meet DO NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE!

    It is a Microsoft artifact.

    windows+R, and run 'services.msc', and find bluetooth related services, enables all.

    Then you check tick the box of telephony again.

    I tried all these steps, but at the end I had to remove the device and then go to Bluetooth settings, re-add and pair again - but this worked and the checkbox remained off for Handsfree Telephony.

    On Teams click on the mute button on the windows session then on the Shokz headset press the +/- button to unmute. The beeping went away for me when I had Teams muted and Headset unmuted.
