Double beep when muted on Teams Shokz Headset

Hello

I see a lot of threads and people moaning about Double beep when muted on Teams when using a Shokz headset which is the problem I have. (Headset previously called AfterShokz)

I use a work computer so do not have admin rights, and muting shoks headset by pressing the +/- volume keys does not stop the beeping noise.

Any help would be appreciated.

    However, this doesn't help if you want to use the microphone on your Shokz.

    That's only temporary though. For that meeting. You have to change it each time. Doing it my way is a permanent solution.

    This happened to me as well during my meeting on Microsoft Team. What actually worked for me is:

    1. Go to the settings within the meeting
    2. Click device settings
    3. Look for the microphone option
    4. Change microphone source from Shokz to the computer and beeping should stop.

    HI,

    High Security warning

    Another workaround,

    1- Create a new private team meeting with only in it.

    2- Join it, close the cam leave the mic on.

    4- Change you status manually to avaliable.

    5- Minimize it to botom.

    Presto no more BEEP

    P.S. High Security warning, be aware that doing so will prevent your station to lock after a period of inactivity set by your group policy in your organisation.
