Hi all, The way I work is that I have Teams open on the half of my 3rd small screen (laptop). Today I realized that recent chats pane just stay open which means that actual chat is now 1/4 of the screen.... (small slice) Previously I had to hover over chats icon and then select which chat I want to answer. This feature works when I zoom in A LOT (ctrl +) but it's impossible to work this way. I tried following things: Resize Teams window from both sides Move Teams window from left to right and then resize Unpin/Pin Chats icon Modify settings.json file with different settings...no luck Details: Microsoft Teams version: 24193.1805.3040.8975 Teams Client version: 49/24080212008 Everything works fine under version: 49/24071128825 Can somebody assist please? :) TO SAVE YOUR TIME - USE THIS FIX Go to apps and features found the app > clicked advanced options scroll down to the reset area and choose reset the app this is apparently a glitch that happens sometimes

THE FIX!!!!! From Windows 11… Click on Start, then Settings On left Navigation pane click Apps, then click on Installed Apps Find Microsoft Teams in list, then click the 3-dots on right, then Advanced Options Scroll down to Reset. Click Repair first, then Reset. These steps should restore the auto-hide functionality without any data loss. Let's be clear… This problem was caused by Microsoft. The above fix is a work-a-round.

Hi Feroz, This is incorrect. It worked fine for my up until last week but mine has also broken and I now can't have Teams permanently open on the screen due to its size. Please fix this! Regards, Henrik Morsing

How do I make Teams chats auto hide and open only when I hover over them?

Hi all,

This happened to one of my coworkers this morning to fix it he:

went to apps and features found the app > clicked advanced options

scroll down to the reset area and choose reset the app

this is apparently a glitch that happens sometimes
