Hi all,
The way I work is that I have Teams open on the half of my 3rd small screen (laptop).
Today I realized that recent chats pane just stay open which means that actual chat is now 1/4 of the screen.... (small slice)
Previously I had to hover over chats icon and then select which chat I want to answer.
This feature works when I zoom in A LOT (ctrl +) but it's impossible to work this way.
I tried following things:

This happened to one of my coworkers this morning to fix it he:
went to apps and features found the app > clicked advanced options
scroll down to the reset area and choose reset the app

Why do you eggheads insist on "fixing" something that was working just fine previously? The whole point is to make it easier and useful for the user, but no, you had to impulsively revise something that wasn't necessary when the vast majority of users were used to the previous interface. Changing something for the sake of change sounds like a bad case of OCD. Whoever had the "bright" idea to do this should seek mental-health help.
Hahaha, yes it's very annoying. But I'll get through the day knowing that you are more annoyed than me :-)
I just hope tomorrow when I log in that Teams has remembered my zoom in setting.
This is very funny. I too am feeling a bit annoying that I'm unable to hide the Chats bar which was auto hiding until last week. And the funniest part is I was looking to find a way to stop Auto-Hide when I wanted to do it and I even searched for answers (look below link).
The other chat says "unfortunately you can't stop auto-hide and raise a feedback" and now the answer is "unfortunately you can't auto-hide and raise a feedback" :)
Mine is 49/24062724817 and marked as latest. I've found a way to bring auto-hide back, but I have to do it every morning. I never sign out when I leave work, just shut down my computer. So, in the morning when Teams starts automatically, I have to sign out and sign back in. Teams defaults to "Follow operating system theme" appearance and auto-hide feature is back. So I have to follow this log-out - log-in process and change to my fave dark theme every morning... Frustrating...
Zooming to 115% solves the problem temporarily! Souns like a remedy until they introduce this feature again.
