Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
Sadly not much consolation to me as I stream to my hearing aids. - No wired version of those :-)

Seemingly randomly, Teams will not output audio through my Bluetooth headset (microphone will consistently work). The only way that I have found to fix it is to restart my computer. This problem is specifically with Teams, system sounds, browser sounds, and Zoom calls will all give audio to the headset, even if teams is not. I am able to see my headset in device settings in Teams and can select it. If I change the audio to output through my laptop speakers, I am able to hear audio.
Some troubleshooting I have tried:
The Bluetooth headset that I am using is Steel Series Artic 9. I can consistently get this headset to work with other Bluetooth devices, such as my personal PC, my wife and my phones, my wife's laptop. So the issue seems to specifically be teams on my work laptop.
Here are 2 examples on when I have seen the issue pop up.

Does Microsoft care that Teams is not working with Bluetooth headsets? It seems silly that this is a recurring issue that Teams has the issue but Zoom does not.
I have the same issues with Shokz Open Run
Windows 10 Pro version 22H2
Teams - 1.6.00.27573 (64-bit). It was last updated on 10/10/2023.
Thanks Christy,
I'm sure a cabled solution will work fine. I have a USB headset and it works every time.
I never have any issues with the bluetooth headset with any other app incl Zoom, its only ever with Teams.
I'll keep digging :-)
Cheers,
Keith
Hi Christy,
I'm having the exact same issue as you and your colleauges.
It's very annoying. Come off one call where bluetooth works and jump on another where it does not.
Did you ever manage to get a solution?
Many thank in advance
Keith
