I'm getting extremely jittery video despite a good connection. It looks like every few frames, a single frame from a second ago is displayed, causing both my video and other participants videos to just jitter in a really distracting way. It can't be my connection because I have a good ping & good connection, and its happening to my video as well.

Just for the record, myself and other colleges that are using Team on Mac OS are also experiencing this exact problem as described and demonstrated by @Bebop17.

It appears to be an issue with the rendering of any video feed being presented in Teams. This issue seems to have manifested itself since the 12th of December 2022.

The issue does not appear when using the Teams web app on the same machine.

I am also seeing these same issues on my MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018). I'm not seeing any issues with other video conferencing tools (I've used both Google Meet and Zoom), so I'm fairly confident that this is not a hardware or internet issue. I distinctly noticed the degradation in video quality last week, which is right around the time my teams updated to the latest version 1.5.00.33356 (my teams indicates that it was last updated on 12/7/22). It therefore seems highly likely that the latest version of the Microsoft Teams app for Mac introduced this issue.

In this case, it isn't a low or delayed frame rate, but rather the video keeps jumping back a few frames for a split second, creating a jarring effect.

I made a video of the issue, in case anyone is curious to see. This happens in the app but not the web app.

I am also experiencing this issue as described by @Bebop17 from 14th December, which is when the app updated to version 1.5.00.33356.

It appears to be a bug with the new version 1.5.00.33356

Clearly a bug introduced in Teams version 1.5.00.33356

Microsoft, why not just roll back the changes, find the problem and then update?
Leaving your users with this, quite frankly, nausea inducing issue that effects the primary use case of your product is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.
