Why is the "NEW" Teams so horrible??

Within the last month or so we go the pop up to try the "new" Teams... The new APP is having so many issues!! We use it for conference calls, and myself and others are having issues where the notifications are not showing, or when invited to a meeting it won't let you "join". I keep having audio (microphone & speaker) issues which I NEVER had previously. I really DO NOT like it. I've switched back to the older version for now. I simply refuse to keep dealing with all these NEW issues with the NEW version! :( It's simply horrible!

And worst you can't move the gallery when there is a screen sharing by another participant.

When using a 21:9 screen, this option is necessary as having the gallery at the top drastically reduces the size of the shared screen and forces you to enable Focus on the content (preventing viewing on webcams).

I encountered the same problem on both the web app and the desktop app and also on Windows and MacOS. Clearing the cache has no effect.

The new teams if **** horrible. It crashes every single time I try using it. What a joke.

It's bad. Really embarrassing

The new teams is ****. To begin with removing the Contacts from Teams is ludicrous. This is supposed to be a communication tool. Why remove the Congacts list? That is absurd. It makes it so much harder to quickly see who is availble for a chat and go straight to them.

I will use the old teams as long as I can or consider moving to Zoom. Or I hope there will be soon a plugin or hack to bring back the Contacts list.

Our latest issue with the new Teams is application crashes when in a meeting where attendees are using their cameras. In a recent meeting, four attendees had this occur repeatedly, every 10-minutes or so. They had to go back to Teams Classic in order for the meeting to continue. My guess is that everyone else was already using Classic.

We've been told that this was a known issue and that an update would be released any minute now to resolve. We'll see.
