Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

    Jason,

Thank you so much for being the first Microsoft employee who responds to this thread. Thank you also for fixing the issue.

I have one request: While the arrow keys problem was a really annoying issue, an even bigger issue was how Microsoft was disconnected from its user and did not engage in conversations with the users. Please make sure that this does not happen again. It would have been great if a Microsoft employee had used the forum that you have created and communicated that Microsoft was interested in fixing the issue. Instead of listening, we were told to report the same issue on different channels where there is no visibility into how big the issue is.

This is a huge cultural issue. Please do not forget to listen to your customers.

    Thanks in advance,

    Niels

Not a solution but a workaround, posted several times in this thread:

Open menu with three dots [ . . . ] at the bottom of chat panel (below editor), then close the menu by pressing ESCAPE on keyboard.

The fact that this is still not fixed is completely ridiculous.

This happens to me everyday. At multiple workstations on several OS versions and Several Keyboards and several Networks (VPNS etc..)

This is NOT a workstation issue.
