Microsoft Teams and Apple Airpod compatability

Hi - I use Microsoft Teams regularly (many times a day) to conduct business meetings.  I very recently bought a pair of Apple Airpods (Pro) as my old plug-in headphones stopped working after several years of service.  I run Teams on my Macbook Pro laptop.

Unfortunately, I can't get the Airpods working with Teams.  People in the meeting can hear me perfectly, but I can't hear them.  I'd appreciate it if somebody could offer some advice on how to get this configured.

Thanks.

    Hello Lisa

Thanks for the reply (sorry only just seen it) but I had other issues with wireless bluetooth headsets such as them going into standby when not in use and having to be turned off and back on to work and also the Airpods would not stay in my ears. I bought them for wearing on my bike and for using in Teams meetings and as they wouldn't work for either so I went back to a Jabra USB headset which I use that works every time.

It may be that a bluetooth adaptor would have worked better but luckily I was able to take them back for a refund.

    Robin

    Hi All,

Our company also switched to teams from Skype for business.

    WorkAround:

When ever my airpods are active, when I first join the call in Teams mobile app, there will be no sound from airpods at all.

I clicked on the speaker symbol, changed the speaker output to be the normal speaker on iphone and then changed it back to airpods. it then works perfectly fine. I was using this workaround every day for my Teams calls.

    I hope this helps others.

    Thank you.
