Bluetooth device keeps getting disconnected during Teams meetings

Hi,

I use the wireless JBL Endurance Sprint Headphones to connect to meetings on my Teams app on my work laptop.

This was working fine until a few days ago. But, from the past few days my headphones gets disconnected every few seconds.

This is terribly agonizing - I can't hear the audio and get tuned out from  the conversation. I need to turn on my headphones again every time it gets disconnected. I end up losing parts of the conversation and it gets extremely awkward frequently requesting the other person to repeat what they said.

I initially thought it might be my headphones, but it works really well with the same laptop on other applications. Works fine on other devices too.

I tried updating driver software for my Bluetooth device. Looks like it's up-to-date.

I have no idea how to fix this.

Similar questions had answers to uncheck the "Disable bluetooth device for power savings" under Power Management Tab ( Device Manager -> Bluetooth-> Adapter-> Properties). I don't see this tab anymore

Please help fix this ASAP.

    Either:

    1. Microsoft is stumped on a solution.
    2. Microsoft does not actually read these posts, and therefore is not aware a solution is needed.
    3. Microsoft has more important problems to fix and this is on the wait list.

As many have said, no problems encountered on the web or on Apple devices.

Same problem. Disconnects exactly 15 minutes into every meeting.

    • B&O told me it’s due to a mislabeling of the bluetooth connection by Teams.
    • Microsoft tells me to buy one of the “certified” headsets on their shop page. Omg.

One should almost think that microsoft has turned into (an) apple.

I'm having the same problem with B&O and Dali bluetooth headphones. Switch off after a few minutes. No problem with any other app.

Update Dec 2020: My workaround is to use a wired connection with Teams. A bit **** but at least it works.

Does anyone at Microsoft ever do anything based on user feedback or are we all just farting in the wind?

    • Brand new HP Probook issued by new employer in the month of October.
    • I am using a Microsoft Wedge keyboard and Microsoft Surface Mouse.
    • When I am using Teams or attend an online webinar via Zoom, GoTo Webinar or Cisco Webex, the Bluetooth freezes, especially if my time on a call is longer than half an hour.
    • In settings the keyboard and mouse are both showing as paired and / or connected.
    • To restore connection, I must reboot my laptop.
    • I have used the keyboard and mouse on my Surface Laptop, using Teams with no problem.

Microsoft  -  we need you to fix this quick as it is making many of us unproductive.
