I am trying to load the Teams app on my Mac and it just hangs with a box saying 'loading Microsoft Teams' after I have hit the 'sign in' box. I can sign in on the web version, but the app won't load. Can you help? Thank you

I managed to get teams started by deleting the cache and application support folder of teams in my user’s library folder.
You're a genius, Sean! Tried all the other suggestions and nothing worked. So grateful to you for sharing this.
To summarize, the fix is to join a Teams meeting in the web version of Teams. Can be a meeting with yourself. That activates the camera and mic and then triggers the stuck Teams application to open. After that it opens every time!

This solved it for me. Strange though. Nothing else mentioned here worked. We use 2FA in my organization. I wonder if that has something to do with it. But after trying your remedy, my 2FA prompt actually popped up.
