i am unable to get the background settings in microsoft teams

Dear Team ,

 I am using the latest Teams app in my windows 10 laptop. During the meeting for the video I am unable to get the background setting to select a background for my video. Request your help .

    Hello,

    I realy dont understand, how this function can be gone. Just like that. I am very strong 6 hour a day user of teams, but now it is gone. 

    And nobody knows what is going on?

    yesterday  I did teams and had backgrounds today nothing on laptop

    how can i get backgrounds?

    Thanks to dave_standrew for your post, but that does not explain why Teams Backgrounds worked fine on my brand new laptop and yet now it does not. Clearly all of the hardware was supported and certainly none of it has changed, but now I can't get eny Backgrounds despite uninstalling and re-installing and trying other tricks suggested in this thread. Come on Microsoft, what about a genuine solution, please, rather than deafening silence?

    It may be your CPU, background blur requires AVX2, (Haswell or newer chip (2013) )

    I also have this issue. Desktop app on MacBook Pro downloaded today. My colleagues on similar machines have this option. Given the current situation this function is not just a luxury - it's a necessity.
