Do other people have this also that Teams get so laggy and unresponsive when you are with many people in the meeting.

What will happen for example is that it takes very long that the bar appear where you can unmute your mic and leave the meeting or open the chat on the right.

Would like to hear if i am the only or its my Surface Pro 3 that is getting to old.

Surface Pro 3 is with 8 GB mem and a Core I7 and 512 gb ssd.

And does the Teams product team about this problem?

    Hey Paul,

Is that your personal Surface Pro with no 3rd party antivirus tools installed? All clean and original latest W10 20H2?

Or this is your corporate Surface Pro where tons of 3rd party security tools installed (McAfee, FireEye etc.)?

You said Skype as well - do you mean Skype personal or Skype for Business? When slow how is CPU/RAM usage?

You see, if we want to find a cause - we need some details. Can you try turn off camera - is that any better?

Is that issue consistent - meaning can you re-create it every single time? Do you use VPN when you connect?

Share more details. Devil is in the details. To find out we need to see some details... So please share!

Please post here list of installed applications. Specifically do you have any 3rd party security tools installed? Things like McAfee of FireEye are well known to slow down Teams application. Please provide list.

My wife has a gaming laptop, this thing runs games at ultra resolution and plays online stuff with ease.  We have this program for my daughters school and it is slow and laggy.  It is not your computer.

lmao not even close. the problem was never the road, microsoft decided to use an outdated electron to work with compatibility with others SO like mac and linux, and they’re paying for their decision, because everyone knows that teams is using an very very outdated version of electron just to keep the compatibility instead of making an native main app.

make an native app rather than use an old electron, and it will fly like you said. microsoft fault here since the problem is actually the car, and instead of making native app they are just trying (and failing) to patch electron related issues.

for comparison, microsoft teams for android and ios are native (ios was built with swift), they run much much smoother than the c.rap desktop version.

just search for electron high cpu usage and you will know what im talking about
