Chats not refreshing / showing latest messages in microsoft teams

For some reason all of a sudden I cannot see any new messages in the chat during class on my laptop. The messages appear on my mobile but they arnt coming in the chat on my PC. Please help me the chat is very vital for my classes

Yes. This is what we see. Clearing the cache updates all versions, but the Mobile and Browser versions update themselves without clearing the cache.

So far the survey shows that most users (about 70%) do not see this issue at all, though they are using the same versions as the ones who do see the issue.

All are on Windows 10.

All are using both Mobile and Desktop.

None are using the browser version.

    Well, in our organization I am the tech person in the IT department that “solved” this for several users with this workaround.

    That was after Microsoft Premier Support had tried for weeks without any luck to find a solution. After several months the problem has not reoccurred.

    Did you try my workaround that I posted earlier:

    We found a workaround that seems to solve the problem on long-term:

    Do the following on all affected channels:1. Right-click channel and click «Hide»

    2. Right-click channel and click «Show»

    After this workaround we have not seen the problem anymore.

    I got the same problem.

    Context: conversation in private channel inside a team.

    I am able to see the updates at web/mobile, nor at desktop app (updated latest version).

    After apply some of the solutions (cache delete, reinstall app) provided in this thread it works for a while but after some time the issue appears again just in that channel.

    Does anyone knows if Microsoft is working on this or there is any solution or effective workaround?
