Teams away setting automatically switching on when not away

Hi there,

My teams status is constantly switching to "away" while I am working on my computer. This is very frustrating as my co-workers need to know when I am actually away or available.

Is there a manual override for this? It would be excellent to be able to set it as available so that my team knows they can reach my even if I am working on paper, or in this case if it has switched itself to "away".

Thanks!

Hi, yes I have outlook and they don't sync the staus properly either. But my main issue is it changing to Away, I.e. Idle, yet I am worki g in other applications.  I have tried minimising,  not minimising etc.

This doesn't happen to everyone in my team but it has been reported by some others in my company.

Are you using the calendar in Outlook?  Do you have entries in your calendar that are setting your status to "Busy," "Working Elsewhere" or "Out of Office?"

    Are you minimizing Teams?

I'm not experiencing this. Teams shows me as available and I haven't interacted with it for several hours.  It is maximized (under a boatload of other junk).

I'm having other issues with Office which are driving our IT Dept. crazy.  They uninstalled Office and Teams and reinstalled them and the issues have not gone away.
