Opening Teams app using link on a Mac

Hi,

When I get a link in an e-mail on my Mac (using outlook as e-mail client), neither Safari nor Chrome recognize that I have the desktop app installed and I can only view using the web app.  Any ideas on how to solve this?  My IT department is no help on this.  I have reinstalled Teams multiple times, rebooted, etc.

    Yep, for a web developer, that makes sense. I'm referring to standard users trying to perform their business functions, though, and the links not working in every browser, likely due to third-party cookies blocking I'm guessing? Which means it's a problem in how the links are presented to the user and needs to be fixed so it works universally.

    That's funny because I have Firefox as my primary default browser but switch between that and Chrome and Safari depending on what I'm doing. I'm in website development so I have to make sure things work in all browsers. It's our Windows folks that have a hard time getting away from Edge.. although many use Chrome now.

    Sorry stupid question, that's done by making Chrome the default browser of course. This is actually a very nice workaround as you do get the added functionality again. Thanks!

    This is good to know but how do you get the agenda to open a Teams invitation using Chrome rather than Safari?

    I Have exactly the same issue with my Mac Air with Safari Version 15.4 (17613.1.17.1.6). I tested the same using Chrome and it doesnt automatically open, however if you click already have teams option, it launches the teams app to start. This does not work with Safari. Any fix or workaround will be Super appreciated.
