Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls
It's now November 2024 and this is still a massive issue... When is Teams getting fixed so it works with Bluetooth headsets???

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I have a pair of Bluetooth Skullcandy Hesh 3 Headphones, and they have 2 connections with my laptop.
1)Hesh 3 Stereo
2)Hesh 3 Hands-Free AG Audio
When I use Hands free AG Audio, there is some static disturbance. When watching videos, stereo option gives great sound quality but for some reason it doesn't give any sound during a meeting in teams. In device settings during a meeting, once I choose Hesh 3 Stereo, the voice just stops.

LEIGONS OF MEDIOCRACY... MICROSOFT IS YOUR PATRON SAINT!!!
Every time you change something nothing works. Don’t you READ these complaints?
MS Teams cannot connect with most bluetooth headsets.
I have Bluetooth Hearing Aids... THEY won’t connect.
I’m switching to Apple and you folks can go pound sand,,,
Good to hear that fix is working. I am going to test it asap.
I bought a brand new Sony Bluetooth headset it works fine with Zoom, Google Meet even Skype (lol)... when I use it with Teams conferences it works for about 15/30 minutes and then... silence!
People on the other side can hear you but you can't hear them. If I turn the headset on/off it works again for another 15/30 minutes. Very annoying! I even went to the shop complaining about it and got a new pair of headsets in replacement, but it does the same. Meaning, this is not a Headset problem but Teams software.
Microsoft Teams is quite recent, so I think they should provide an update to fix this issue.
Hello Hussein
I am V. Arya, Independent Advisor, to work with you on this issue.
- Open Teams app - Click your picture on top right - Settings - Permissions - Media permission should be ON.
Also in Devices - Check for Audio Devices - By default, it is properly selected. If not, select it properly. Not having the right microphone / speaker selected is a major cause of this issue.
- If above doesn't work, assuming this is Windows 10 (if any other OS, let me know)
Press Windows key, hold it and press i
Privacy - Microphone
Allow apps to access your Microphone - Should be ON
Choose which Store apps can access your Microphone and Allow desktop apps to access your Microphone - Teams should be ON wherever it appears
- Try from Web Teams using Edge or Chrome browser and let me know whether it works or not. This will help me to diagnose where is the issue - https://teams.microsoft.com/
Please update me with the result. If above doesn't work, I will provide other steps.
Option 3: using browser based teams works - nothing else has worked for me so far. can you help suggest what should be done.
Hi.
Thanks. It worked for me so far.
