Bluetooth Headset not working with teams.

I have a pair of Bluetooth Skullcandy Hesh 3 Headphones, and they have 2 connections with my laptop.

1)Hesh 3 Stereo

2)Hesh 3 Hands-Free AG Audio

When I use Hands free AG Audio, there is some static disturbance. When watching videos, stereo option gives great sound quality but for some reason it doesn't give any sound during a meeting in teams. In device settings during a meeting, once I choose Hesh 3 Stereo, the voice just stops.

That is such interesting thing that after 2 years after publication of this workaround - we still should search for it and use it.

Thanks it helped me with Huawei Freebuds Pro 2.

Double strange is that headphones do not work only with Teams without this workaround, but they worked with Skype correct.

Sadly a very strange behavior of Teams, probably also a reason why many companies always want to use Zoom. Had the same issue, thank you for sharing the solution. Found also this video, which shows and explains the fix. I hope to use BT devices soon as intended with Teams. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Hi All,

The problem with disabling Bluetooth LE is that some Bluetooth devices would stop working (e.g. my Logitech M585 in this case), so then this is the alternative I got after Googling thousands of pages.

(Assume you did not disable any Bluetooth LE driver)

    1. Connect your Bluetooth headset

    1. Open Control Panel
    2. Open Device and Printers
    3. You will see your headphone connected as a device, right-click on it, choose properties
    4. From the "Services" tab, disable "Bluetooth telephony", click OK to commit changes.
    5. Disconnect and re-connect your device

Doing so will cripple the mic on your Bluetooth headphone, that should do the same trick as "disabling Bluetooth LE", but you didn't kill the LE service so it does not affect other devices.  After making the changes you still need to choose an alternative mic to pick up your voice (bummer).

This worked for my Edifier TWS1 Pro
I already have a separate microphone for making/taking calls on Teams so it isn't much of an issue if I don't use the mic on my Bluetooth headset.

Feature update to Windows 10, version 21H2 has come. The problem is still there.

When using Hands free AG Audio, there is some static disturbance. The only option is using Stereo audio, but the microphone configuration must be set to laptop default microphone.

    This worked for me...

    1. Unpair headset
    2. Right-click start menu and open Device Manager
    3. Expand Bluetooth
    4. Right-click Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator and disable. It will give you a warning about devices not working. Unless you have devices that require Bluetooth low energy, it will be okay. Leave the other one (without LE) enabled.
    5. Pair your headset
    6. Enjoy

You will need to disable LE enumerator each time after you reboot.

Most people don't have the admin privilege on their work computer.

Microsoft should step up to solve the problem because Bluetooth headphones only not working with Microsoft Teams.
