TEAMS - mute by default when entering a meeting

Can you mute by default whenever you enter a TEAMS meeting? I know this option is available in WebEx, but can't seem to find it in the settings in TEAMS.

    Just use Zoom it doesn't suck quite as much, and they do listen and act on user feedback.

    Why doesn't MS listen to their end users?!?

    I consider this mute option a no-brainer!

    MS, please stop ignoring user's requests.

    OMG Microsoft won't fix this issue. I am IT manager, and we will move to different Video Calls platform in early 2023 since missing mute by default is very important for our privacy.

    So disappoint due to missing this very basic feature!
